Dr. Sebastian T. Vogel is Counsel and head of the medical criminal law department of FS-PP Berlin, a boutique law firm specializing in white-collar criminal law, compliance and data protection law. He defends individuals and advises companies. The focus of his work and his specialization both lie in medical criminal law (e.g. allegations of negligence and homicide, abortion, corruption, billing fraud). Especially in the defense against criminal allegations of medical malpractice, errors in medical information and finding and diagnostic errors, he has proven to be one of the experts in his field. He defends and advises physicians, nurses, hospitals and their management staff.

Additionally, Dr. Sebastian T. Vogel has special expertise in other areas of medical criminal law, particularly in the areas of transplantation law, assisted suicide and patient decrees, prenatal diagnostics and patients' rights, as well as in pharmaceutical and medical device law. In these areas, Dr. Sebastian T. Vogel regularly publishes articles in legal and medical journals and is an editorial writer for the Zeitschrift für Medizin-Ethik-Recht (ZfMER). Dr. Sebastian T. Vogel is co-founder and -organizer of the Interdisciplinary Forum on Medical Ethics Law (InFoMER) Berlin.

Since the summer term of 2016, Dr. Sebastian T. Vogel has been a lecturer for medical criminal law and medical liability law at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg as part of the interdisciplinary study program of medical ethics law. Beginning in the summer of 2021, he will teach at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg on psychology in criminal proceedings. He also lectured on criminal procedure law at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR) in the Department of Police and Security Management for a period of three years.

Dr. Sebastian T. Vogel was born in Merseburg in 1984. After graduating from the Domgymnasium Merseburg in 2003, he studied law at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg from 2004 to 2008. He completed his studies with distinction. In 2012, he received his doctoral degree for a thesis on medical criminal law. He completed his legal clerkship in Berlin, which included a stage at the Ethics Commission of the State of Berlin as well as at the Higher Regional Court of Naumburg. Dr. Sebastian T. Vogel passed the second state law examination in 2013 with an excellent grade. He was a judo judge with the highest German license for many years and holds the 3rd Dan.
