Tasks of the lawyers of trust
Scout24 SE and all companies of the Scout24 Group resolutely oppose any form of corruption, fraud and all other manifestations of white-collar crime. The appointment of external lawyers of trust is an important component of the integrative compliance management system installed by Scout24 to prevent, identify and sanction violations of the law and regulations within the Scout24 Group.
The lawyers of trust are contact persons for internal and external whistleblowers who wish to provide confidential information on criminal offenses, administrative offenses, in particular corruption, white-collar crime, betrayal of secrets, violation of data protection law or other serious legal violations.
Employees who wish to report a serious violation of General Equal Opportunities Act can also contact Dr. Frank or Ms. Hoffmeister who work in the position as lawyers of trust.
The lawyers of trust are subject to the lawyer-client privilege. The confidential lawyers will only pass on confidential information to the contact person responsible for compliance at Scout24 SE if the person providing the information has expressly declared their consent to it. The information can be forwarded anonymously on request.
The lawyers Dr. Frank and Hoffmeister are also available to employees to answer questions about correct and proper conduct if the confidentiality of the lawyers of trust is to be invoked.
Complaints within the meaning of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act
The lawyers of trust also receive confidential reports of violations or risks in connection with the provisions of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz). This concerns the topics of human rights, generally recognized social standards and environmental standards within the company’s own business area and in the supply chains.
Details
A special e-mail address and a separate telephone number have been set up for persons who wish to contact Dr. Frank or Ms. Hoffmeister as lawyers of trust of the Scout24 Group. An answering machine will take messages outside office hours. The lawyers of trust will then get back to you immediately. A personal conversation or video call is possible.
Contacting the lawyer of trust is risk-free for an undecided whistleblower. The whistleblower can still decide afterwards that the confidential lawyers should maintain confidentiality.
The lawyers of trust are representatives of the Scout24 Group companies. They may not advise or represent against the legal interests of the companies of the Scout24 Group. However, they are instructed to explain to whistleblowers the internal proceedings to be initiated in response to their information.
Particularly protected contact via the FS-PP BKMS® system
Whistleblowers also have the option of contacting the lawyers of trust via BKMS® system. The BKMS® system is an internet-based reporting system that has been tried and tested by many large companies and organizations as well as police authorities. It is secured in the best possible way and excludes the traceability of reports. It is also available for notifications within the meaning of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.
