Mandate of the ombudsman

juwi AG and the companies of the juwi group have a strict commitment to combat corruption, fraud and any other kind of criminal offence. The appointment of an external lawyer as an ombudsman is one important element of juwi´s integrated compliance management system to prevent, detect and sanction criminal offences and breaches of rules.

Dr. Frank, lawyer, is the contact person for internal and external whistleblowers who want to disclose information about corruption, economic crime, breaches of secrecy or breaches of data protection or gender-equality law in complete confidence.

The ombudsman should only be contacted in cases of serious breaches of law or rules. He is not a complaints office for customers or suppliers.

Dr.Frank, lawyer, and his collegues in “Fachanwälte für Strafrecht am Potsdamer Platz Partnerschaft mbB” guarantee complete confidence. This means that anything said to the ombudsman is protected by his and his assistant´s professional duties as a lawyer. The ombudsman needs the whisleblower´s permission to forward information to the compliance office of juwi AG. The whistleblower can advise the ombudsman to forward information without their name and in such a way that they cannot be identified.

Employees may also contact the ombudsman in confidence with questions about legal and regular behavior.

Whistleblowers and employees who contact the ombudsman with questions may also decide whether the question be forwarded anonymously.


There is a special phone number for anyone who wishes to contact Dr. Frank in his capacity as ombudsman of juwi AG. There is a recorded answering service for any calls outside of normal office hours. Dr. Frank will respond as soon as possible.

Usually the contact begins with a phone call or an e-mail. This opportunity will be used to decide if the case is relevant or not.

In relevant cases a personal meeting may be arranged in order to clarify details. Anyone who approaches the ombudsman in good faith can be sure that the ombudsman will only forward information with their permission and protect their identity.

There is no risk in contacting the ombudsman. He will not forward any information to the company without the wihstleblower´s permission. This will only be done anonymously and if the whistleblower wants this.

The lawyer´s client is the company. Even in his capacity as an ombudsman Dr. Frank, lawyer, may not give legal advice which goes against the interests of juwi AG or a company of the juwi group. However, he may explain the details of internal procedures when dealing with whistleblowing.
